5. Site and support: Are power, air, clearance, training, spare parts, warranty, and service terms confirmed?
6. Sample validation: Can the shortlisted configuration repeat an agreed result with your actual materials?

Start with a list of what you actually press: T-shirts, hoodies, sleeves, neck labels, bags, patches, flat panels, or other products. Record the largest repeat design, the garment thickness, and any seams, zippers, buttons, collars, or pockets that may prevent a flat loading surface.
Next, identify the transfer method. DTF, HTV, sublimation, transfer paper, and patches may use different combinations of temperature, pressure, dwell time, peeling, and finishing. The material supplier's instructions should remain the starting point. A machine should be evaluated by whether it can apply that process consistently, not by one isolated specification.
Curved products require special attention. Caps normally need a platen and heating structure designed for their shape. Do not assume that a flat heat press and a general accessory will provide the same loading and pressure conditions as dedicated cap equipment.

Choose platen size from the largest repeated printable area rather than the overall garment size. A 40 × 50 cm platen is common across several HEAT PRESS LEADER commercial models and supports many apparel applications, but bigger is not automatically better. Narrow sleeves, labels, bags, and areas close to seams may be easier to press with a smaller or interchangeable lower platen.
Loading access is equally important. A threadable lower platen can help separate garment layers. A slide-out drawer can provide a clearer loading area, while a swing-away structure can move the upper assembly away from the platen. Compatibility, included platen sizes, and changeover procedures vary by model and quotation, so optional accessories must be confirmed in writing

A single-station machine is usually suitable for mixed products, shorter batches, limited floor space, and frequent changes. A dual-station machine provides two loading positions, allowing the operator to prepare one item while another is being pressed.
The second station is useful only when the workflow can keep both positions supplied. If artwork preparation, alignment, peeling, inspection, or packing is slower than pressing, a dual-station machine will not automatically double output. Time the complete process before deciding.

Check the exact voltage, frequency, phase, plug, circuit capacity, machine dimensions, packed dimensions, weight, and service clearance for the ordered configuration. For pneumatic equipment, include compressor location, air delivery, drainage, filtration, and noise. For electric models, confirm that the site circuit supports the rated load.
Also check how the operator will load, align, unload, and reach emergency controls. A machine can fit on paper but still create an inefficient workstation if drawers, moving heads, transfer tables, or operator paths lack clearance.
Ask for a written quotation that separates the base machine, standard accessories, optional platens, electrical configuration, packing, freight scope, commissioning, and any consumables. Compare training, spare-parts availability, warranty coverage, remote support, and preventive-maintenance requirements before purchase rather than after installation.
A sample test is the most direct way to confirm whether a shortlisted machine suits the application. Send the actual garment or substrate, transfer material, design size, placement, material settings, peel method, finishing steps, and acceptance criteria. Include the most difficult repeated job, not only an easy demonstration sample.
